This project was, quite literally, delicious. One of the perks of working with Chocolate Delicacy was getting to sample their handcrafted chocolates—and yes, they were just as incredible as they look.

When we first met with Chocolate Delicacy, a beloved family-owned and operated business, they had a clear vision: refine their brand presence without losing their well-established identity. For decades, their name had been synonymous with quality, craftsmanship, and indulgence. However, as their customer base grew and online shopping became increasingly important, they recognized the need to enhance their digital presence, refine their branding, and develop a more strategic marketing approach.

Their priorities included updating their branding, fine-tuning their website, improving their online visuals, and learning best practices for social media marketing and management. Knowing how important it was for the brand to feel both authentic and personal, we took the time to meet with the owners, Dave & Marie, and their son, Ander, to understand their vision in person before diving into the project. It was clear from the start that Chocolate Delicacy had a strong identity—they just needed the right tools and strategies to amplify their presence both in-store and online.

Elevating an Established Brand

Chocolate Delicacy’s existing logo—a script-style “Chocolate Delicacy”—had been a part of their identity for years, gracing signage, packaging, and promotional materials. Rather than reinvent the wheel, we focused on enhancing their branding by providing secondary and tertiary logo variations for different uses. These included optimized designs for social media watermarks, product stampings, and advertising collateral, ensuring a cohesive and professional look across all platforms.

To complement their signature royal blue and gold packaging, we developed a rich supporting color palette, adding deep cherry red and chocolate mocha tones to evoke warmth and indulgence. We also took the delicate filigree details from their stamped boxes and hand-drew custom variations, which became versatile graphic elements for marketing materials. These elements helped bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, allowing Chocolate Delicacy to retain its heritage while evolving visually.

A More Engaging Digital Presence

A strong digital presence was a top priority for Chocolate Delicacy, as more customers were discovering and engaging with brands online. To bring their story to life, we created a stunning B-roll video showcasing the chocolate-making process—giving customers a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship behind each treat. This immersive content became a focal point for their website and marketing campaigns, reinforcing their artisanal quality and attention to detail.

For social media, we curated and shot a library of high-quality content that their team could use for DIY posting. From close-ups of truffles being drizzled in chocolate to seasonal gift assortments, the visuals captured the essence of their brand. To further support their efforts, we provided one-on-one social media training and created a custom guidebook for their team. This included:

- Customer demographics and insights

- Content pillars to structure their messaging

- A content calendar for consistent posting

- Platform-specific strategies tailored for Instagram, Facebook, and beyond

Their website also needed technical improvements. We resolved pop-up messaging issues, fixed display errors, and optimized SEO to improve search rankings. These enhancements ensured that visitors had a seamless and enjoyable browsing experience, making it easier to discover and purchase their chocolates online.

Strategic Marketing for Growth

Beyond branding and digital updates, we developed a comprehensive marketing and growth strategy tailored to their goals. To attract both new and returning customers, we designed print materials such as mailers, flyers, and in-store signage that aligned with their refreshed branding. These materials not only strengthened their local presence but also served as valuable touchpoints to reinforce brand recognition.

One of the key growth areas identified was wedding favor sales. With handcrafted chocolates being a perfect choice for weddings and special events, we provided recommendations for targeted marketing efforts. This included strategic collaborations with local wedding vendors, optimized product listings for wedding favor bundles, and specific advertising campaigns aimed at engaged couples.

To help them make the most of paid ads, we outlined best practices for Google and social media advertising. From audience targeting to budget allocation, we provided actionable strategies that empowered their team to run effective campaigns with confidence.

A Recipe for Success

With an updated brand presence, improved website functionality, and a refined marketing strategy, Chocolate Delicacy is now well-equipped to attract new customers while staying true to their legacy. Their online presence is stronger, their in-store branding is more cohesive, and their team is empowered with the tools they need to continue growing.
